Macabre Monday HDH072 - Hell Hath No Fury

HDH Macabre Monday Rules:
1. Create a dark and macabre SOMETHING (card, scrap page, altered item, whatever) that follows the specific Macabre Monday challenge given. Cutesy is fine, but creepy is better :)
2. You have until the following Sunday night @ 5pm central time to post your creation and please leave a direct-link back here. Please make sure that your blog post / upload has been made AFTER the challenge date... we wanna see fresh stuff, not those from a few weeks ago!!
3. If you upload to any online galleries (TACPCC, S&S, PCP, SCS, etc.), please tag the title using HDH072.
4. Weekly giveaways! Some weeks will be loaded with loot, others not-so-much... but the thrill is in the win, right?! Some prizes shall be by random drawing, others hand picked... and I'm not telling you ahead of time :)
5. We'll be selecting a weekly Gruesome Twosome (our top two favorite creations) from all the players. At the end of every month these will be compiled and a Master of Macabre will be selected and will receive a little giftie from me... this could be stamp sets, handmade items, papers, halloweenie embellishments... you just never know.

Ok, my little pretties... your challenge this week:

Hell Hath No Fury
You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween-based project showcasing bad-ass bitches on a rampage. Bitter much? This challenge is PERFECT for a little emotional purging :)

Check out what the Macabre Minions have in store for your viewing pleasure...

:)

Smudgetastic Andrea:

Is this a little miniature dollhouse-of-doom?! I can't wait to read more about it!! Wonderful, Andrea!!!

Macabre Mistress: Oz
I'm almost afraid this is a personal quote and not a work of fiction.
It's deceptively demure and lovely. Then again aren't we all? Nicely done, Oz.

Chaotic Creepy Glowbugg:
Better late than never!
Fabulous work from everyone per usual! Be sure to check back for what is SURE to be a fun-filled week of smile-inducing entries!

HDH068 Octopodally Ominous... by Barb

Have you totally just had a heart attack from seeing a post with an HDH068 challenge card done by me?!  I know!  Cah-raaa-zy.  And the crazier part is that I'll be back in a day or two with a SECOND one... yeah... I know... un-effing believable.  :)

Since the winter holidays are JUST around the corner, how apropos is this?!  I seriously fell in LOVE with this little snowman... it's a bit warped and twisted... sooooooo up my alley :)
I should probably do my 8-item breakdown that was part of the challenge:
1:  card base, 2:  blue-grey panel, 3:  sentiment, 4:  webby trim, 5:  snowman, 6:  straight ribbon, 7:  separate bow, 8:  snowflake gem

How do you like how grungy this guy is?  It kinda looks like he was made from that snow along the street that has all of the dirt & grime thrown over it, no?  All misshapen and a little sad.  That's why I thought the sentiment was particularly fitting :)

 Digi:  Whimsical Snowman (Octopode Factory)
Rubber stamp:  retired TAC sentiment
Paper:  Caboodle White & scarlet cardstocks (TAC), blue-grey cardstock (Bazzill)
Ink:  VersaFine Onyx
Other:  ribbon & trim (May Arts), gem (JoAnn's)
Copics:  0, BV20, BV23, C00, C3, C5, C7, E57, E59, G21, G24, G28, R35, R37, R59

How are YOUR challenge cards coming along?  :)

Well, what do you say we get this Christmas party started?!  Using any Simply Betty Stamps Halloween image, create a Christmas card... anything goes, but it must be a SBS Halloween image!  Not too hard eh?  For today's prize one lucky winner will receive a choice of any 2 Digi stamps!

You will have until Saturday November 27th at 11:00 PM PST to upload your card for voting consideration.  Upload your card on the SBS Challenge blog... and while you are there, be sure to check out the rest of the DT's cards!

Here's my offering for today's challenge:
Now, you KNOW I'm down for anything Halloweenie... and Winter holiday cards are no different :)  Actually, I've been known to send Halloween cards INSTEAD of Winter cards, but that's just how I roll.

Mummy Lola was the first SBS image that popped into my head for this challenge :)  At least I gave her a more festive outfit than the usual mummy, right?

Bazzill & Neenah cardstocks, Copic markers, a little May Arts webby trim, Tim Holtz edge die, Scor-bug, a few misc. gems & an American Crafts ribbon rose were all that were needed for this yuletide card :)  The alphabet set I used for the sentiment comes from TAC called Mini-Bet.

This Lola is available in digi AND rubber form... AND everything is on sale right now!!!  $2.75 for a digi and only $4 for rubbah... and don't forget about the papers & embellies over there.  Go HERE to shop :)

Fiendishly Fun Friday - Salem's Lot revisited...

Ok, was it just me, or did this mini-series / movie scare the holy bejeezus out of you as a kid?  That crazy looking vampire with those wicked knarly teeth (and I don't mean knarly in a GOOD way...)!

Evidently I missed the remake with Rob Lowe... ummm... was it any good?

I also remember my sisters reading the book back in the day...

Fiendishly Fun Friday - Lenore

I love Lenore, here's a link to the film/cartoon/video/fantabulously-freaksome-awesomeness that is

Be warned, this is probably not for the squeamish. But then if you're squeamish then you're probably lost, run, quick, before Barb finds you and locks you away in her Closet of Cute. Seriously, with the amount of locks and chains and iron bars on that door, ain't no cute getting out here :P

Merry Freakin' Christmas...

Ahhh... the holidays... HDH style `:)

Yes, the endless pursuit to get the winter cards done before the spring thaw... I've been pretty good the last two years, but I'm waaaay behind this year.  Yes, I know... it's only July... but I just don't like doing 150 cards that all look alike... you know what I'm sayin'?
Sooooooo, for my very special friends, I get to make doosies like this one!  They make me happy... in a twisted, demented, totally WTF kinda way :)

What spurned this bit of happiness today?  Two challenges... and they're not even mine!  I know... I'm totally psyched (no, not psycho... well, not really)   :)  There are probably more challenges to which this little baby would apply, but I'm just stickin' with these two:
Stampotique (Christmas in July)
The Burtonesque Dolls (Nightmare Before Christmas)
I started with the Tickled Pink sketch, but strayed too far AND I didn't realize I had to use certain available stamps, so I'll have to work on that one again  :)

Stamps:  Winter (Stampotique), sentiment (unknown)
Paper:  kraft & black cardstock (TAC), & Bazzil cardstocks
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo, VersaFine Onyx
Other:  Copic markers, black gems & tulle, foam tape

Winter is just one of the creepiest images... me likey alot!  And the sentiment couldn't be more perfect, right?!  Yep... there are several times during the season that I've said this very thing... SEVERAL times.

I actually finished up a card for the Tiddly Inks blog hop on Thursday!  Un-freakin-believable!  AND I'm hoping to "formally" introduce y'all to the Sisterhood of the Sinister aka HDH's Macabre Minions on Friday, so tune in!

HDH047 - surprise!

I'll admit it... I started this card last week for The Burtonesque Dolls' challenge "The Burton Boys".  This image is PERFECT for that... oh well... c'est la vie.  At least I finished it... and me likey alot.

Stamps:  A Man A Mess- Goth39 (Stamp It Crazy), Background Soup (TAC), That Guy (retired TAC)

Paper:  black cs (TAC), Neenah white cs, random turquoise cs

Other:  hardware (WeRMK & Karen Foster), spring, jewlry wire, Turquoise Glimmer Mist, 1/16" hole punch, super cool web trim gifted by Creepy Glowbugg (thanks, man!)

Copics:  0, BG72, G21, G85, W2

The turquoise mist shows up awesomely on the black cardstock!  In real life it is way better than the photos... trust me.  I know the wire is a bit wonky, but I guess the rest of the card is, too :)  It's fun to see the card open and light spill through the teensie little punched holes.

Do you dig the spring & large brads?!  Me too!  I might have to go on the search for more springs... I've got a bunch of the brads, although some are antique brass & copper.  Oooooo.... the copper & brass would look all steampunk, no?!  Hmmm....

OH!  And don't forget that there is only a couple of days left for current Freaker's Free-for-All challenge!  How much easier can a "do whatever ya' want" challenge be?!  :)

What do you think?
