Match Preview - Manchester City v Manchester United

Form: City are currently struggling to find form, with three defeats in their last four games. There last Premier League tie was a 2-0 victory over West Brom, losing to Wolves and Arsenal in their previous two League fixtures, and a humiliating 3-1 defeat to Polish minnows Lech Poznan. Another few losses added to Roberto Mancini's CV and he's a goner...

United are on the back of 6 straight wins, most recently a 3-2 thriller (for the neutrals) against Wolves. The other five coming against Tottenham and Stoke in the League, Bursaspor (twice) in Europe and Wolves in the Carling Cup. However, Sir Alex Ferguson is without some key players.

The Injury Front: City will be without in-form striker Mario Balotelli on Wednesday, after he was banned for three games after picking up a straight red card against West Brom over the weekend. Ryan Giggs and Luis Nani are not expected to be passed fit, Wayne Rooney is currently undergoing rehab work in the US, while Michael Owen, Owen Hargreaves and Antonio Valencia all remain sidelined.
