A Chinese national plunged 12 storeys but miraculously survived the fall by landing in the swimming pool below. She is now penniless and unable to work, but STOMPer Rachel suggests she can seek help from the authorities here.
26-year-old Zhou Zhi Hui had climbed out of her apartment during an argument with her landlord which started around 8am on Friday (Dec 10). He had forbade her to leave the flat and confiscated her handphone. He even threatened to kill her.
STOMPer Rachel writes in her email (Dec 14):
"After watching the interview with Ms Zhou, I wonder if there are many more problems that people from foreign lands may face. "For example, problems with their landlords, with their employers etc. "In the interview, she mentioned the police advised her to seek help from her embassy.
"In fact she may also approach the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) if it is work-related. "As she said in the interview, she has no money now and does not know what to do. "I hope she can quickly settle down and move on."
