As we all know in the recent headlines in all the local dailies, prominent businesswoman Datuk Sosilawati Lawiya was found to be murdered - she was murdered, and then burnt whereby her ashes were then strewn at a river. Mmm... reading all these articles gives me the chill. But it somewhat gave me an idea of an interesting article too...
As a Malaysian, I enjoy reading the newspapers. Especially on the controversial news. One common type of controversial topic is murders. I did some random research based on what I know and what I have read about over the years... and here goes...
So... What is your FAVOURITE/PREFERRED MURDER METHOD?
Dismembering of body parts.
Years ago, actually 1993 to be exact, pop singer and witch doctor Mona Fandey was charged with the... err... dismembering of an UMNO politician. She and her husband chopped off the politician into 18 parts and buried them in a storeroom near her house.

I would say this case was forgotten already for sometime, until recently i watched Gerard Butler's Law Abiding Citizen - the scene of which he dismembered the criminal... I admit it was gruelsome, but its been some time since I have watched such a movie in the cinemas. Freaky, but it was a good movie.
Back in 1993, there was also a good movie - gruelsome horror movie in Hong Kong that was very good too! Anthony Wong - the guy from the Infernal Affairs series / Young & Dangerous etc etc made his first super movie in this movie - called The Untold Story - or the Chinese name... human meat char siew pao... uuggh.... the name itself, you can tell what happened.Burning Alive.
The recent murder of Datuk Sosilawati - I would say not really considered burning though cos she was murdered BEFORE she was burned. Murder by burning is more like... err... Joan Of Arc styled. 10 years ago, I remembered I watched this movie by Resident Evil star Milla Jovovich - called The Messenger - Story of Joan of Arc of which she was burned alive at the end of the movie.
During the early days, in certain parts of the world, some of the criminals are burned alive. But then, since I'm talking about murders here - perhaps lets not run out of topic... Another movie that portrayed some good burning alive murder is a recent movie - Dan Brown's Angels & Demons! =)
Stabbing.
This is perhaps the most common of murders - hence I believe that is perhaps everyone's favourite murder method. I mean, based on what I read in the papers and online, stabbing seems to be the most common method so far. There was one in Sunway recently - whereby the snatch-thief stabbed the victim after grabbing her bag.
In terms of stabbing murders, one of the more prominent ones would be the one 7 years ago.
This case. This is the famous one - the famous Canny Ong stab/rape case. Thats why I always tell all my friends, especially ladies to be extra careful when they go to shopping centres carparks. Canny Ong was abducted, raped and then stabbed before the murderer burned her body in a manhole. Gruelsome...
