McDonald's Mont Kiara Staffs Laughs At a Kid.


I just read this blog post by Kellster - how ridiculous are these idiotic and unethical McDonald's staffs that they resort to such actions... The fact that I even had McDONALDS this morning... that just made me feel more disgusted! Ms Kellster has blogged about it - and here I am - I'm gonna to re-post up her post, here's her original link - go and drop some comments ok...

This is my SECOND TIME blogging about MCD’s.

I have a huge bone to pick now. I lost my temper yesterday and I decided to document what happened at Mcd’s in Mont Kiara’s outlet yesterday afternoon at 1.35PM exactly when I went to get my lunch.

Please support this blog post, and read completely everything below. Do not let MCDONALD’S get away with their nonsense and poor customer service anymore. Especially when it comes to this.

I have a gigantic problem with Mcds. Most of my friends know just how many hurdles and stupidity I have to deal with when it comes to McDonald’s customer service. Especially their delivery hotline. They are so incompetent that it is appalling! One of the most horrible one I had was when I was still in the MIDST of my orders on the phone, the girl on the other end of the line with me, kept interrupting me and asking me “Is that all?”. Why was she in such a hurry to get off the line with me when I wasn’t done saying my orders, and when I asked her why was she interrupting me she kept hushed. And when it was time for her to repeat my orders, she got everything completely WRONG!

I can write an entire essay on just how awful Mcd’s delivery customer service hotline is. But that story is for another time. Today it is about what happened yesterday in person with their in-store staff counter service in the Mont Kiara outlet yesterday.

I went there to order my lunch to have it take away as I had tons to finish up at work, lucky me the queue wasn’t very long. I was second in place in my line and I stood there waiting for my turn. When the lady in front of me had placed her order, she was about to move to the side to wait for her food when a CAUCASION (I have to highlight this because it is important) child.
I repeat, a child. Probably about 5 or 6 years old at most came up to the counter to ask for milk.

Now, he was really short and he couldn’t really reach the counter properly. So there he stood tip-toeing and straining his neck to the girl that was in charge of the counter asking as loud as he could for milk. However the girl couldn’t seem to understand what he was saying, so he decided to be clever and spelled it out for her. He jumped clinging onto the counter half-way as he couldn’t reach the counter completely, spelling M-I-L-K. Even I could understand what he wanted. But the girl at the counter still couldn’t freaking understand what he wanted!

Instead of probably paying more attention to him, she decided to ask her colleague that was bending on one knee on the floor near the French fries station to help her ask what the kid wanted. She said “Eh Aku tak faham la, dia nak apa?” she said in Malay. Immediately the thoughts that came to my mind was, ‘you can’t even understand the word MILK?’

But that wasn’t what pushed me to lose my temper that afternoon. The guy that was bending down near the fries station, turned his attention to the Caucasian kid and said “Yes?” and the kid once again shouted “MILK! MILK!” and because he couldn’t hold on so long onto the counter, he let go and landed on the floor again, and decided to jump one more time, clinging onto the counter and said ‘MILK! M-I-L-K.” He spelled milk a couple of times actually.

The guy that was on the floor, still couldn’t understand what the kid wanted, and instead of getting up, going over the counter and speaking to him properly, helping him get what he wanted, he still stayed bended on one knee on the damn floor! I was feeling the fury inside, but I wanted to see what the guy would do. Still bending on one knee, he asked the kid again what he wanted and he kid once again repeated he wanted milk and the Mcd’s employee just laughed.

HE ACTUALLY LAUGHED.

He laughed at the kid to his colleague. He laughed and said “*laughing and giggling* Tak faham lah. Hehe. Tak faham la dia nak apa” and his colleague, the girl that was attending the counter LAUGHED along!

THEY LAUGHED AT THE POOR CHILD!

I was shocked and was boiling with anger! The child looking extremely confused and probably hurt let go of the counter and walked back to his table. With empty hands. The lady in front of me in the queue, moved aside and it was my turn facing the girl that was taking care of the counter. I lost my temper.

I asked shot them this questions and statements:

“Is that how you treat your customers? “

“Is that how you treat a child?”

“Is that how you help the child BY LAUGHING AT HIS QUESTION?”

“TAK BOLEH TOLONG BAIK-BAIK KE?”

I repeated those questions in a flurry and this time my voice louder than it began, I was so angry
I started raising my voice.

I shot my questions at the Mcds employee that was on one bended knee

“Is that how you treat the kid?”

“You cannot get up and walk over to the counter is it?”

“TAK BOLEH JALAN KE?!”

I mean seriously, was the guy crippled? That he couldn’t get up from his task and just walk over or around the counter and attend to the child? It wasn’t a busy lunch hour! The outlet wasn’t buzzing with tons of people!

They both kept quiet, not even replying or responding. I didn’t care that everyone was looking at me lose my temper at these two jackass employees from Mcds. I couldn’t stomach it in!

This is the outlet in MONT KIARA. That area is known to have numerous of people from other countries. Tons of expats live around that neighborhood. Are you telling me that MCDONALD’S employees cannot comprehend the ‘effing word MILK? They can’t even make out the spelling of MILK?!!

The bottom line is, they have no right to just stand there lazily and looking at each other when they couldn’t understand the child’s question, and they have no further freaking rights to just LAUGH at the child, or even a customer if they didn’t understand the request!

Mcds has gotten way with a lot of garbage in their customer service. I hope that this subject that I blogged about will be brought up and receive much support. So please do leave your comments as I plan to bring this freaking blog post up to their management. I promise that.

Let’s not let them get away with such rudeness and such unprofessional-ism!
