Lisa Porter who publishes the beautiful blog, The Lisa Porter Collection,
tagged me -- along with a few others -- to answer 10 questions.
I've selected seven. (I don't know if you could take much more of me....)
I've selected seven. (I don't know if you could take much more of me....)
1. Why do you blog?
I have no sexy or poetic answer. In fact, I had never heard of blogs until I met the renowned Joni Webb, who
writes the thoughtful, picturesque and informative Cote de Texas. As a field
editor for some national home decorating publications, I had assembled over the years
quite a file of images that I thought might be worthy of sharing. Not all
were selected to be published nationally but, still, I thought it would
be fun and rewarding to share the works of some wonderful talent.
I figured the more we saw and the more we all learned from one another, the more we could celebrate and nurture our own individual style.
2. What are my best three memories.
My BFF, Barbara, was telling me the other day about a book she's reading.
It made her laugh. It's called "I Remember Nothing" by Nora Ephron. Ms. Ephron says she knows she was at Woodstock but she remembers "nada." And so she goes on and on.
I can relate!
I can relate!
Other than my pregnancy, which I loved, I'd say the day my beautiful daughter was born ranks at the very top!
One of my favorites of Kate when she was 18. A simple black and white by a Houston photographer.
As for other favorite memories, I don't immediately recall. But I do know I've have many. (Does that make sense?!)
3. Name five things I can't live without.
I'll share three.
The first:
My family and friends
My father with his youngest grandchild.
The second:
Dark-dark chocolate made with cocoa
Good news is this bar may have the antioxidants we all need!
The third:
Organic, no-sulfite-added red wine
Frey Wine in Mendocino County.
4. Name four best fictional books you've ever read.
I know I can come up with a list -- eventually.
However, two immediately come to mind.
These titles:
Interestingly enough, I read this years ago and have read many since, but this came to mind.
I recall liking this book quite a bit as a youngster.
I read it once a year when in elementary school.
5. If you could change your name, what would it be?
My middle name is Colette, which I detested as a child.
(It was too different from the Anns, Barbaras and Cindys I knew.)
But, now, I think it would be fun to try it out as a first name.
6. Name your three best movies made.
Again, I'm going blank except for this one:
The Big Chill. It reminds me of my own group of friends.
7. What do I love about myself?
Wow. That's kind of tough. I'd say that I strive to treat others as I would like for them to treat me. And, I try to be true to myself.

I am supposed to do some tagging myself. Instead, I invite those who read this to introduce themselves, via a comment or two -- or by linking back here from their blog. Thank you.
