Anyways, what is so special about this dish?
Hehe I shall not put a picture of how I stuff the whole 'roll' into my mouth.. The roll was thick-enough to get a good texture, yet not too thick that makes it overly 'flour' tasting. To me, a good Peking Duck depends on three main things - one, of course, the roast duck skin. Second would be the sauce, and lastly, the 'roll' or popiah roll whatever you call it.
Tai Zi Heen's popiah roll for the Peking Duck... that was almost perfect. =)
How about the roast duck skin? I have tried roast duck at so many places. I count roast duck amongst my favourite loves - and if I have tried more than 50 bakuteh places in Klang Valley, I have definitely tried more than 50 places for roast duck all over. However, for Peking Duck... I have not tried that many yet - still quite rare.
The Peking Duck at Tai Zi Heen... I would say it suits my taste buds very well. I actually rank their Peking Duck as good as some of those that I tried in Beijing.
*note* I went to Beijing for 4 days 3 nights - and I had 4 Peking Duck meals. =P
Right now, the main challenge is to be amongst the first 8 reservations...
