MiGF 2010 - Chynna, KL Hilton.


Being a big fan of Chynna, KL HILTON - I found myself going there pretty often; in fact, in the last 2 months, I have been there like... 4 times already, 3 times on business lunches, and once for a buka puasa session with my schoolmates. Anyways, the MiGF Malaysia International Gourmet Festical (MiGF) 2010 is around once again - and I went to Chynna once again!!! =)

Anyways, for the 6th consecutive year, KL Hilton participates in the 10th successive MIGF with its three trademark restaurants - Senses, Iketeru and Chynna.

Be greeted by Chef Lam Hock Hin as you enter into CHYNNA, KL Hilton.

Oh, before I forget, on the 19th of October 2010, Chef Lam is having a little cooking class!!! For RM 160nett per person, you can learn to cook Gourmet Festival inspired Chinese cuisine - from the master chef himself! Chef Lam is famous for his expertise in creating some really good and tasty traditional Cantonese delights... learn from him!!!

Anyways, let me show you what I had today.... oooo yummmyyyzzz... =P

荞麦面条乌麻汁熏帶子
The Cold Black Ink Soba with sesame sauce and smoked seared Hokkaido scallops.

As I tried the appetizer - I was almost certain that this could well be the main course itself. The scallop was really sweet and fresh, and the soba - I wanted to lick the bowl!! But... this was only the appetizer. There were more to come...

沙參玉竹老火鴨翅汤
Double Boiled Duck broth with Shark's Fin, Radix and YuZhu.

Apparently - radix is a form of root. I like how the broth was kinda 'sweet' based - and you could really taste how good the soup was.

Check out the shark's fin wei.... aweesommeeess!!! =P

至尊海鲜盘
Then came the seafood platter.

First - it was the Salmon Tangy Mustard Mayo sauce.

The Canadian Cod. Yummmzzz....

..and my personal favourite - the curry dry prawns!!!

胡椒薄荷煎羊排
The Sous-vide Lamb Cutlet with Pepper Mint Sauce.

The tenderness and juicyness.

This one is best paired with some 2008 Heartland Shiraz, Langhorne Creek, Australia wine.

蜂巢米線
The last dish - was the wok fried somen noodle with shell meat served in a golden katafi.

Some light noodles to fill the stomach further. For me - I loved the noodles a lot, and the golden katafi... that was just superb!!!!! =) I practically finished EVERYTHING ON THE PLATE!!!


...and then came to dessert time...

The coconut mousse cake with pumpkin puree.

Will I return again? For the MiGF menu - YES!!!!! For its other food - YES also!!!!! Keep it up Chynna!!! You've wowed me once again!!!! =)
